What to Expect
Your anesthesia experience comprises of three phases:
Pre-operative: engaging and disclosing
Intra-operative: tailored anesthesia plan and careful monitoring during procedure
Post-operative: pain management and recovery
Your anesthesiologist will discuss a customized anesthesia plan with you prior to surgery.
This plan will take into account your medical history, surgery type, and pain control.

Anesthesia Care Team Model
Your anesthesia care team is a group of skilled professionals dedicated to your safety and comfort throughout your surgical experience.
Led by a physician anesthesiologist, the team may include nurse anesthetists, anesthesiologist assistants - all working together to deliver expert, personalized care. From pre-op evaluation to post-op recovery, your team monitors vital signs, manages anesthesia, and ensures a smooth, safe experience at every stage.

General Anesthesia
This is the most common type of anesthesia technique. Patients are eased into a state of total unconsciousness and pain control. General anesthesia can be administered through techniques such as intravenous and inhalation.
