TYPES OF ANESTHESIA

Your anesthesia provider will discuss a customized anesthesia plan with you prior to surgery.

This plan will take into account the severity of the surgical procedure, pain control, and past anesthesia experiences.

GENERAL ANESTHESIA

This is the most common type of anesthesia technique. Patients are eased into a state of total unconsciousness and pain control. General anesthesia can be administered through techniques such as intravenously and inhalation.

REGIONAL ANESTHESIA

Regional anesthesia blocks pain to a specific part of the body during the post-operative recovery process. Most common types are peripheral nerve blocks for orthopedic procedures.
